Damon & The Chocolate Factory!!!

We had a SWEET time at Damon's Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory Birthday Party. This theme was picked out by the birthday boy himself, and I must say I had a great time putting this party together!!!

The kids had themed games: Augustus Gloop fudge frenzy, Violet Beauregard balloon pop, Veruca Salt golden egg toss, & Mike Teavee's Plinko!
They made their own Sandy Candy straws and enjoyed dipping all kinds of fruit and other goodies into the chocolate fountain. No Willy Wonka aka Charlie & the Chocolate Factory party is complete without a chocolate fountain!!! We also had the music from the original Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. It really added to the atmoshpere of the party to have the music!!
It was a sweet party and the kids all had a good time!!!
This was really a pretty easy party to put together and it had impact! We were all as happy as kids in a candy store!!!!

Weird Science Birthday Party!!!!

It is about that time again! Where I overbook birthday parties!!! This year I am doing a double birthday party for two boys, one is going to be 14 and the other is going to be 10! We came up with a theme that would satisfy both crowds! A weird science party! I am sooooooooo excited!!!! As you know, you set the tone of the birthday party with the invitations. It is very important to get everyone excited by how the invitation looks and what it says! You want to give away some of the fun activities you are going to have at the party without giving every detail. All of the invitations we use for our parties at Mommy Mogul are custom. What is so good about that is, your guests realize how much time and effort has gone into the party. It makes them not want to miss it because they can't just go down to the local Wal-Mart and get the same stuff. It is a one-of-a-kind event and if they miss it, they'll miss it.

This party was so much fun! Although we had a very big age gap in the kids attending, all of the experiments were great for all ages! We made instant snow, slime, had jelly water crystals, held dry ice bubbles, and did coke geyshers!! Each child got a lab coat, goggles, id badges, and kits to hold all of their goodies!!

We had the cake made with test tubes looking like something was spilling out of them on the sides of the cake. The two boys' names were written on the test tubes. It had a biohazard sign on the top, a molecule, caution sign, etc.

I thought it turned out great! And it tasted great too! Cupcake Couture of San Antonio did the cake. We have used them for several parties! And they did a great job with this cake too!

Dr. Seuss meets Mommy Mogul Part 2

We have been busy getting reacquainted with Dr. Seuss and all of his wonderful stories. During our research, we found some wonderful stories from the Dr. that are not as well known. Yertle the Turtle is my favorite story and many people do not know about this particular story. During this Dr. Seuss birthday party, we wanted to highlight the famous Dr. Seuss stories and introduce the lesser known ones. The stories we will be featuring during the party are: The Cat in the hat, Yertle the Turtle, Hop on Pop, The Sneetches, Horton hears a Who, Horton hatches an Egg, Green Eggs and Ham, the Lorax and many more! Our games will be themed according to these famous stories!
Tomorrow is the big day, and everyone is so excited here at Mommy Mogul.

This party is super cute! We want to show you the cake that we ordered here in San Antonio from Cupcake Couture. They did an outstanding job!
It smells wonderfully and we hope it tastes as good as it looks!

In the posts ahead we will be showing you how we pulled this party together.

Dr. Seuss meets Mommy Mogul!

Well, it is hard to believe but my baby is going to be four soon! I love planning all of my kids birthday parties because there is so much creativity envolved and I just love that! This party however, will have a special place in my heart. My soon-to-be four year old son started watching The Cat In The Hat knows a lot about that on PBS. Ever since he started watching the show, he fell in love with the cat in the hat! For Christmas the only thing he asked for were Cat In The Hat pajamas. I remember saying, "do they even make cat in the hat pajamas?" Even if they didn't, I would have found a way for him to have his cat in the hat pjs! Thankfully, I found some online and he got his Christmas wish!

For days he wouldn't take them off! He wore them everywhere!
He has asked for a Cat In The Hat Birthday party. While I started in the party planning phase, I quickly decided that a Dr. Seuss theme would be so much better because I could incorporate all of his wonderfully creative characters (and yes! The Cat In the Hat too!).

This party is going to be FABULOUS!!!!!!

Coming Soon! Pictures of all of the planning stages of the party! Including the tablescape, cake ideas, games, etc. I will show you how we make everything!

Lavish Luau Party!!!!

We have had a pretty busy summer this year! When it was suggested that I do a luau party for a little girl who was going to turn 2, I became excited by the color schemes and all of the fun things I could do. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome!!!! The little girl liked Phineas and Ferb, so we had to be sure to get them into her party somehow.
We started off by choosing a color palette. We used hot pink, orange, and lime green. This color choice wound up being so bright and colorful and perfect.
We decorated the table with two hawaiin men with leis and they were holding buckets which we filled with fruit. We used shovels from plastic beach pails to scoop the fruit out with.

We put an interactive talking parrot in the middle of the table. We even programmed him to say, "Happy Birthday!" to the birthday girl!

We had plastic coconut cups for the kids to take home. We put little drink umbrellas in each cup.

We ordered sandy candy for each of the kids. These are plastic sticks that the kids fill up with different colored and flavored candy sand. The kids loved this activity.
Not only was it fun and easy for even the little kids, but they got to take a candy favor home that they made themselves.

We then had to limbo! What luau would be complete without that?
Her cupcake tower was our luau themed tower.

And her water bottle labels had Phineas and Ferb on them

This was a great party with vibrant colors, leis, fruit trays, pail party favor buckets.

It was the perfect luau for a perfect little princess!!! Makes you just want to say Aloha!!!!!!
